The Strange Curse! - November 18, 2005

Read Mark 10:17-31.

Dear friends,

Once an expert in diamonds was seated on an airplane beside a woman wearing a huge diamond ring on her finger. Finally, the man couldn't stand it any longer and had to ask her: "I couldn't help but notice your beautiful diamond. I am an expert in precious stones. Please tell me about that stone."

She replied, "That is the famous Klopman diamond, one of the largest in the world. But there is a strange curse that comes with it."

Now the man was really interested, and had to ask, "What is the curse?"

She, glancing over at her sleeping husband, then turned back and whispered, "It's Mr. Klopman."

Check out Mark 10:17-31. Jesus once met a man who was cursed. He was cursed with his own wealth, possessions and property. He was so attached to his assets that he could not detach himself to follow Jesus.
