Pastor's Corner A Child of the Family! - April 8, 2005 Read Hebrews 12:1-13. Dear friends, Recently, we've enjoyed some great family time - all of us kids, now grown up, getting together and acting like kids all over again. And all along, we're inwardly marveling how we have grown up - how we have changed - and yet not changed at all. We all had fun in our family reunion - enjoying just being together as family. |

In Hebrews 12:1-13, we see that God wants to treat us like his children. Now, isn't that a mind-blowing thought?! Sometimes he disciplines us. Sometimes he challenges us. Sometimes God just comforts us, and provides for us. Phil Jackson, the legendary coach, once observed, "There's more to life than basketball and more to basketball than just basketball." Think about your life today. Did you know there's a reason you're alive? Did you know there's a God who longs to touch you, lead you and guide you through life - with a holy purpose?
