Pastor's Corner Nick at Night! - March 25, 2005 Read John 3:1-21. Dear friends, I recently read a story of a young man who had been hiding out in a big city church. A maintenance worker found him. He had been lurking around the church living in the attic by day, dwelling in darkness. Then, during the night, he would venture out to feed on leftovers from potlucks and church luncheons. But during the day, he would stay up in the darkness of the attic - listening to the sounds of activity below. |

Nicodemus came to Jesus, full of questions, at night. We think he came at night in order to be careful, you know, with his image and everything. Someone might notice him talking to this renegade teacher from Nazareth! You can check out the Nick at Night story in John 3:1-21. Do you know anyone who is quietly looking for Jesus, quietly trying to overhear the faith conversation, but doesn't want to come out of hiding? Is there any shadow of Nicodemus in you?! Don't stay in hiding. Come out with your questions. Seek him. Knock on the door. Jesus himself told Nicodemus, "whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God." God's blessings to you this day!
