Pastor's Corner Do You Wanna Tell?! - January 21, 2005 Read Luke 18:1-7. Dear friends, Two twelve-year-old boys, Bob and Mike, broke a window while playing baseball. They looked around to see if anyone had seen them. They saw no one - except Mike's little brother. They offered him a piece of candy if he promised not to tell. He refused it. "I'll give you my baseball," Mike said. "No," said the little brother. "Then what about my new glove?" Bob added. "No!" said the little brother. "Well, what do you want?" they cried. With resolute decision, the little guy answered, "I wanna tell!" |

Let me tell, because I know - it's hard to negotiate with little brothers! The woman in Luke 18:1-7 has three strikes against her: she's a woman, and in the biblical world, that wasn't a lot of status. She's also a widow, and much of her credentials disappeared when her husband died. Lastly, she's poor; she didn't have any monetary influence. But she was persistent! Jesus told this story to emphasize the "need to pray always and not to lose heart." Do you wanna tell today? God's blessings to you this day! Andy Ross
