Pastor's Corner How Will God Get In This Year?! - December 24, 2004 Read Luke 2. Dear friends, Some letters from kids to Santa: "Dear Santa, My mother told me to write to you and say thanks for the train set. My dad plays with it all the time. - Mike." "Dear Santa, Please give me a tank, a jet fighter, 20 green soldiers, and a bazooka gun. I'm planning a surprise attack on my brother. So don't tell anyone. Thanks, Danny." |

"Dear Santa, How will you get into our house this year? We don't have a chimney and my father just installed a very expensive security system. - Julie." Julie's question is a good one, eh? God found a way to get into our world, didn't he? You can read about it in Luke 2. Amazing as it sounds, a baby was born to a virgin, in a specific time and place, over which the star hung and just shined. And the world became changed. The world was given hope. The key question is, has God gotten through to you? What does that mean? Well, it reminds me of the tender words to the well-known carol: "What can I give him, poor as I am, if I were a shepherd, I'd give him a lamb; / If I were a wise man, I'd do my part; / What can I give him, I'll give him my heart." That's where God wants to come in! Open the doors of your heart to Jesus Christ this Christmas Eve - let him come in and fill you with his love and truth and peace. Merry Christmas and God's blessings to you this day! Andy Ross
