A message from Pastor Andy Ross...

Waiting for a Sign? - October 15, 2004

Read Matthew 28:19-20 and Acts 1:8.

Dear friends,

Norman Cates tells the story of a guy who once prayed this prayer every morning:

"Lord, if you want me to witness to someone today, please give me a sign to show me who it is."

One day he found himself on a bus when a big, burly man sat next to him. The bus was almost empty, but this man sat next to our praying friend.

Before our friend could get off at his stop, the big man burst into tears and began to weep. He then cried out in a loud voice, "I need to be saved. I'm a lost sinner and I need the Lord. Won't somebody tell me how to be saved?" He then turned to the Christian seated next to him and asked, "Can you show me how to be saved?"

The Christian immediately bowed his head and prayed, "Lord, is this a sign?"

Are you looking for ways to share God's love and the gospel with someone else? Start by reading Matthew 28:19-20 and Acts 1:8. Then pray.

And then - look out!!
