Which Branch of the Service are You?! - September 24, 2004

Read Colossians 3:12-17.

Dear friends,

Jack was standing in line coming out of church one day and the preacher was shaking hands. The preacher grabbed Jack by the hand and pulled him aside.

The pastor said to him, "You need to join the Army of the Lord!

Jack replied, "I'm already in the Army of the Lord, Pastor."

The pastor questioned: "How come I don’t see you except at Christmas and Easter?"

Jack whispered back, "I'm in the secret service."

In Colossians 3:12-17, we see that our love for God is supposed to overflow into the lives of other people - and that's what takes place at church! As a pastor myself, allow me to give you some guidance on God's army - he doesn't need any more secret service!
