A message from Pastor Andy Ross...

Op Language - September 17, 2004

Read Luke 11.

Dear friends,

My Dad loved to amuse us kids when we were little by speaking "Op." This was a fun, made-up language he mastered years ago by simply putting the sound "op" before every vowel sound.

And so, my name - Andy Ross - would sound like this in his new language: Opandopy Roposs. He’s quite good at speaking this fluently - and it always made us giggle with glee.

Here's a language question for you today: are you on speaking terms with the Almighty? You may know Spanish ... or French ... or English ...

But it's key that you know how to talk to God! That is why Jesus took time with his friends to teach them how to pray. In Luke 11 we hear him saying, "When you pray, say: 'Father, hallowed be your name...'"

Prayer is a language you need to learn! And it becomes fluent with daily practice! Start this day right and begin talking to your heavenly Father. Opand Mopay God blopess opyou!

God's blessings to you this day!
