Watch Your Throttle! - September 10, 2004

Read Matthew 11:28.

Dear friends,

Jamie Buckingham, in his book Look Out, World, points out that the early World War I fighter planes had no slow speeds. The planes that Eddie Rickenbacker and the Red Baron flew only had two power options on their engines: full on or full off!

Pilots today know what a danger it can be to run only at full throttle, plus, always running an engine at full RPMs burns it out much faster!

Jesus once said (Matthew 11:28), "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest."

Don’t spend this day going full throttle! Take some moments to slow down ... to breathe ... and to get in touch with the God who created you, and longs to comfort you.
