Sanctuary Choir

Our Sanctuary Choir leads the traditional 9:30 and 11:00 A.M. services of worship each Sunday. The choir performs music from all periods of church music, from contemporary to Bach and Mozart, often with instrumental/orchestral accompaniment in addition to organ. This choir is open to all who have a heart for singing, including high school and university students. Rehearsals are on Thursday evenings at 7:30 P.M. in the choir loft.

Praise Band  Contemporary Praise Team

The Contemporary Praise Team leads the Contemporary Worship service each Sunday at 8:00 A.M. The service features a more informal worship setting with more contemporary-style music featuring volunteer vocalists, guitar, percussion, piano and other instruments. The praise team rehearses each Wednesday evening at 7:00 P.M. in the sanctuary. Kurt and Jennifer Monroe, Directors.

Handbell Choirs  Steeple Bells Choir

The bell choir rehearses weekly using our excellent five-octave set of English handbells and participates approximately monthly in the traditional worship services as well as in other special services. Some background in music is helpful. Rehearsals on Wednesday evenings at 7:00 P.M. in the Grundstrom Room. Arlene Sturm, Director.

Men's Choir  Men's Choir

Northminster's Men’s Choir is open to all men who enjoy singing and who want to lift their voices in praise together with other men. Although it helps to have some ability to read music, the only requirements are that you want to sing, to expand your musical experience and to enjoy the camaraderie of other men in preparing music to be offered in worship. Rehearsals are on Thursdays at 6:45 P.M. in the Music Rehearsal Room, Multipurpose Building. Dr. John T. Brobeck, Director.

Other Opportunities

Instrumentalists and Accompanists. There is always need for competent pianists and other instrumentalists to accompany choirs and/or to participate in a variety of services. Please don’t be shy about letting the Director of Music know that you might like to participate in this way.
