Dr. John T. Brobeck
Organist & Assistant Director of Music

John brings a number of skills to his important role as organist for Northminster Presbyterian Church. John joined our church staff in 1995, ably stepping in and serving our congregation after the tragic death of our former organist, Roy A. Johnson. John's sensitivity to congregational singing, hymnody, and sacred music has brought blessings to many.

Currently, John serves as an Associate Professor of Music in the School of Music and Dance of the University of Arizona. He coordinates the musicology program and also directs the university's early music ensemble, the Collegium Musicum. He holds a B.Mus. magna cum laude from Westminster Choir College and a Ph.D. in the history and theory of music from the University of Pennsylvania. John and his wife, Sue, reside in Tucson with their son and two daughters.
